TAX STATUS

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting Congregation Etz Chaim of DuPage County (CEC).

Contributions to us are deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. We  are also qualified to receive
tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106  or 2522 of the Code.

MISSION OF CEC FOUNDATION

The purpose of Foundation is to:

  1.  provide and guaranty resources to ensure Jewish continuity,
  2.  assure that CEC remains a long-term source of strength for those in our community seeking to live by Jewish culture, values and religion.

The purpose of the CEC Foundation is to encourage, solicit, recognize, and administer bequests, donations, and gifts to build a perpetual endowment to fund the betterment of CEC and agreed upon capital improvements/maintenance of CEC. The Foundation will steward and make available financial resources to support the facilities and programs of CEC in carrying out its mission.  Recognizing that tzedekah and tikkun olam are part of CEC’s culture, the Foundation is a form of informed, planned, and strategic philanthropy to benefit CEC now and in the future.
